Blesmol

Facts about creatures

The blesmol is a burrowing rodent that lives in Africa south of the Sahara.

It resembles a mole and ranges from 3 to 12 inches long.

The blesmol has short limbs and a body that is cylindrical.

Its eyes are very small and are almost completely hidden by fur.

The blesmol’s incisors (front teeth) are very prominent and stick out even when it closes its mouth.

When it digs, the blesmol uses its teeth and the claws of its front feet to scrape away loose sol. It then uses its back feet to pass the soil behind its body.
